Compliance Officer

THE ROLE

  • Maintain and execute the Compliance Monitoring Plan
  • Provide written reports and verbal assessments on actions required
  • Escalate issues to Manager where required
  • Maintain policy and procedure register
  • Ensure the Bank is compliant with the Payment Card Industry rules
  • Ensure customer facing letters and documentation have been reviewed in line with compliance procedure
  • Design and deliver Compliance training
  • Ensure business documentation is compliant
  • Ad hoc duties as and where required

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • Minimum five years compliance experience
  • Retail banking experience is preferred but not essential
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable dealing with individuals across levels of seniority
  • Ability to take on additional responsibility as the business grows
  • Knowledge of navigating and interpreting the FCA Handbook
  • Degree educated or equivalent professional qualification
  • Analytical with strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory framework within financial services
