Corporate Finance Associate
$80000 - $100000 Tax free salary + Bonus + Benefits

They are an expanding international physical commodity trading company with offices globally. The company has grown rapidly in the last few years with significant customers and relationships across the globe.


This role has a number of strict absolute requirements. If you do not meet them, do not apply for the role:

  • Previous work experience in either of the following is an absolute requirement: Corporate Finance or Research & Analysis or Risk Management or Equity Valuation or Modelling or Big 4 Transaction Services, or Investment Banking transactional work (ideally with exposure to Business Analysis, Evaluation or Commercial teams). Previous work experience fulfilling one or more of these is an absolute requirement.
  • University degree (BSc or MSc) in Math, Physics, Banking, Finance, Accounting or Economics is an absolute requirement
  • Strong financial evaluation & modelling expertise, incl. high levels of competence with MS Excel is an absolute requirement
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a global business across a variety of teams and geographies is an absolute requirement
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and financial modelling skills is an absolute requirement
  • A solid understanding of physical and financial businesses across metals & mining or other commodity areas is an absolute requirement
  • Genuine interest in global economics and commodities markets is an absolute requirement
  • Excellent oral and written command of English is an absolute requirement


  • Knowledge of software solutions in transaction and risk management systems working in a largescale trading and risk environment is a plus
  • Ability to collect, assemble and appraise data from a variety of sources
  • Russian is a strong preference but other language ability will be considered


  • Develop and maintain / validate effective analytics and evaluation models (typically simple Pnl or occasionally DCF) to assess and develop business cases to support potential commercial opportunities and strategic initiatives
  • Develop data driven narratives to inform key management of risk levels, mitigations, and impacts
  • Identify and develop appropriate data sources which contribute to risk-based assessments
  • Develop, own, maintain policies, procedures, and other governance documents, as necessary
  • Identify, track, and report key risk indicators
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative information on the counterparty to determine credit limits
  • Provide support in the origination, business development for new products and markets
  • Respond to any incoming custom requests that require research / qualitative highlights
