Credit Analyst – Commercial Real Estate 12 Month Maternity Cover London – Hybrid – 4 days in office – 35 hour week £60000 - £65000 + excellent benefits or Daily rate £260 - £275 per day
This role is with a stable London A+ rated bank, part of an international and well-respected banking group. A new 12-month fixed term contract has arisen within their Commercial Real Estate Lending department to cover maternity. The core of the role will be preparing credit applications and reviews for new/prospective customers and existing customer facilities (annual reviews) that adequately address relevant risk factors in the industry, market and business and handling KYC and account opening in respect of existing and new customer relationships.The department covers UK Commercial Real Estate Finance, including Hotels, Student Accommodation, Offices, Residential Portfolios, and Development Finance.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Previous experience of working within commercial real estate lending, preferably within a bank
Previous credit analysis experience of commercial real estate
Experience of handling KY and account opening
THE ROLE
Support the Head of Commercial Real Estate Finance to develop and manage on a day-to-day basis both potential new customer targets and existing customers to meet assigned financial and non-financial targets, in compliance with banks policies and procedures, regulations and prevailing best practices
Prepare credit applications and reviews for new/prospective customers and existing customer facilities (annual reviews) that adequately address relevant risk factors in the industry, market and business.
Handle KYC and account opening in respect of existing and new customer relationships.
Deal with and resolve customer problems and requirements, in coordination with appropriate in-house and external support functions, to ensure timely, friendly and accurate delivery of the banks products and services.
Support the Head of Commercial Real Estate Finance in negotiating and documenting facilities for clients
Assisting with the management of the watch list and impaired credits.
