THE ROLE

You will be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of Council’s financial management. You will report directly to the Service Director – Finance, Infrastructure, and Improvement (S151 Officer) and provide strategic advice and direction to Corporate Leadership Team, elected members and senior officers on financial strategies, policy, standards, and practices. 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

You need to be pragmatic and be able to operate in a politically dynamic and complex environment. 

You must hold full CCAB qualification and have significant post qualification experience, preferably gained in a corporate accounting role.
You are expected to operate at a strategic level.

Strong leading and influencing skills at the most senior management level to achieve strategic outcomes are essential to success in the role.
