Skills and Experience Required
The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified Accountant with experience in a London Borough or a large Council, possessing strong Finance Business Partnering skills and familiarity with Local Government reporting.
Generating and managing precise financial records for a designated budget portfolio.
Compiling due diligence reports for the Business Partner.
Creating monthly financial forecasts, guaranteeing accurate and timely recording and reporting of budgets and actuals.
Executing the budget-setting process and conducting reconciliations of budget areas to ensure accuracy.
Facilitating the Strategic Business Partnering model by offering budget support monitoring.
Generating, reviewing, and analysing financial data to aid directorate decision-making.
Maintaining forecast models to support monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
