Cameron Kennedy is excited to announce an opportunity to join a London-based Council as an interim Management Accountant for a duration of 6 months. This position is pivotal in ensuring efficient budget recording and reporting.

Skills and Experience Required

The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified Accountant with experience in a London Borough or a large Council, possessing strong Finance Business Partnering skills and familiarity with Local Government reporting.

The Role

  • Generating and managing precise financial records for a designated budget portfolio.

  • Compiling due diligence reports for the Business Partner.

  • Creating monthly financial forecasts, guaranteeing accurate and timely recording and reporting of budgets and actuals.

  • Executing the budget-setting process and conducting reconciliations of budget areas to ensure accuracy.

  • Facilitating the Strategic Business Partnering model by offering budget support monitoring.

  • Generating, reviewing, and analysing financial data to aid directorate decision-making.

  • Maintaining forecast models to support monthly and quarterly financial reporting.​
