Manager - Advisory US GAAP

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Significant US GAAP knowledge and experience essential

  • Qualifiedaccountantwithtechnicalaccountingexperience of US GAAP, UKandIFRSGAAP

  • Minimumof5yearspostqualifiedexperienceinaBig4ormid-tieraccountingfirm

  • Previous experience as a manager providing clients a range of accounting advisory, modelling and consulting services

  • Experience of reviewing statutory accounts and/ or managing audit services to large businesses

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage time, prioritise tasks and produce deliverables of a high standard

  • Abilitytobuildandmaintainbusinessrelationshipsandworkinateam.

  • Goodunderstandingoftheworkingsofafinancefunction

THE ROLE
You will be a key member of the team delivering technical accounting advisoryservicestoawiderangeofclientsincludinghouse-hold names, FTSE 100 listed companies and international groups in the key business areas of AccountingAdvisory(newcomplexaccountingstandards,applicationofGAAPand conversions) and dealsupport(preandpost deals). The role will primarily focus on advisory work involving US GAAP but you will need knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP. Asavaluedmemberoftheteam deliveringsupporttoourclientsacrossarangeof engagements including:

  • ImplementingaccountingstandardsandGAAPconversions

  • In particular your focus will be on US GAAP projects

  • Supportingclientsonaccountingremediationprojects

  • Developingaccountingpolicies,proceduresandcontrols

  • Deal accounting support including historic financial information reporting, workingcapitalmodellingandproformareportingandpostdealsupportin embedding new entities and changes

  • Supporting the firm's significant growth objectives by helping to deliver client engagements, build relationships with new and potential clients, supporting new marketinitiatives,propositionsandofferingsandbeingpartoftheteamtakingthese out to clients

  • Developingyournetworkofcontactsandclientstodevelopopportunitiesforthe firm to become their trusted advisor

  • Abilitytoprojectmanageengagementstomeetdeadlinesandbudgets.
