THE COMPANY
A global financial services group whose business encompasses investment banking, investment and wealth management has an opportunity within their European Head office based in London. They are looking for a motivated Payroll Specialist to join their Global Payroll team

THE ROLE
This is a sole charge role. This opportunity is ideal for someone who has an excellent core knowledge of payroll processing and is looking to grow and expand his or her role in Payroll & Accounting. This role will report to the Payroll Manager who is based in the US. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Perform daily payroll operations for UK and non-US payroll e.g. Europe.
* Process payroll in ADP for UK employees monthly, in an accurate and timely manner
* Assist with posting payroll journal entries into NetSuite
* Carry out payroll reconciliations
* Work with HR and Senior Payroll Accountant to understand proper handling of employee benefits in the payroll
* Prepare, verify and process small payrolls and the relevant 3rd party vendor payments, payroll fillings and YE payroll reporting
* Partner with Commissions compensation team to review and process sales commission payments
* Prepare and maintain accurate records and payroll transactions
* Assist with payroll audit requests & ad-hoc reporting
* Respond timely to employees' inquiries regarding payroll in payroll support mailbox
* Have a positive, flexible approach to work with a strong focus on customer service.

Experience and Skills
* 3+ year of payroll processing experience required
* UK payroll experience of a sizeable payroll of over 100 employees where there are variable reward structures such as bonus and or fee or commission rewards.
* ADP, UKG or Workday platform experience would be a plus.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate with various front office employees.
* Very high attention to detail.
* Ability to respond to payroll inquiries with empathy & professionalism.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines, and prioritize competing workloads.
* Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and willingness to coordinate with Payroll team on global level where needed.
* BA/BS in Finance/Accounting or related field, or Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) qualification - Level 2 Certificate or Level 3 Technician would be nice but not essential
