Revenue Accountant

qualify as an accountant, with a few professional exams behind them who is keen to learn and

WHO THEY ARE LOOKING FOR

  • A trainee or part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) who is focused on qualifying professional to pursue a career as an accountant,
  • Experience of working in a finance function in any industry,
  • 2nd or 3rd jobber with a strong academic background including a good quality degree,
  • Excellent communication skills and able to demonstrate a clarity of though and good analytical capability,
  • Previous experience of operational accounting, an eye for detail and used to working to deadlines,
  • Intermediate Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLookup in order to manipulate large amounts of data,
  • Hunger, enthusiasm and desire to learn and succeed as well as taking pride in delivery of work.

THE ROLE

Reporting into a finance manager, this is a key role providing an excellent opportunity for growth and development where you have the opportunity to become a subject matter expert on the revenue earned from the company's European fund range,

  • You will have to build excellent relationships with colleagues as well as liaising with third party information providers,
  • You will account for revenue accurately on a monthly basis, invoice the funds and provide high quality and insightful commentary and variance analysis,
  • You will ensure the numbers reported are as accurate and to deadlines ensuring they are reconciled effectively,
  • The role will also be involved with liaising with the auditors and being a legal entity controller for 2 of regulated entities. The latter will involve wider accounting activities including expenses,
  • Carry out other duties as assigned,
  • Where possible or necessary making enhancements and improvements to processes and increase transparency of analysis.
