You will be required to prepare Management accounts including Budgets, Cash flow analysis and Variance analysis. You will also be in involved in preparing Month End, Quarterly and year end Statutory Accounts. You will be an experienced user of GL systems. You will have strong Excel ideally including vlookups and pivot tables. You will also work closely with the CFO to assist in making commercial decisions regarding new business acquisitions.
Previous insurance experience is not essential though an appreciation of the Industry would be an advantage. Knowledge of Accounting process for fee based revenue would help. Knowledge of correct procedures regarding control accounts is also useful. Professional Accounting qualification essential (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
It is important that you have excellent communication skills and a great work ethic. You should be ambitious and be able to see the bigger picture in terms of working with the Directors to build a successful business.
