Director - Technical Accounting Consulting

£90,000 - £120,000 + Bonus + Benefits

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent overseas qualification

• Minimum of 10 years post qualified experience in a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm delivering accounting consulting services

• Significant previous experience as a Director providing clients a range of accounting advisory and consulting services

• Working and practical knowledge of applying UK GAAP and IFRS

• Proven track record in business development, developing client relationships and networks and delivering revenue growth. A proven “rainmaker”

THE ROLE

Supporting the Partner in leading engagements and delivering growth your role includes:

• Generating opportunities and delivering new revenues and a book of sustainable business. This means you will be a “rainmaker”

• Developing long-term trusted advisor relationships with clients

• Help lead delivery of projects and work and lead the team we have now in this area (3 x Senior Managers all ex Big 4).

• Leading the delivery of technical accounting support to clients across a range of engagements including:

o Implementing new accounting standards

o Supporting clients on accounting remediation projects

o Deal support (including Class 1 transactions and IPO readiness)

o Advising clients on GAAP conversions

o Developing accounting policies, procedures and controls

o Post deal accounting support including clients adopting new GAAP, transaction accounting and setting up accounting processes post deal

• Delivering the firm’s significant growth objectives by leading the development of key new market initiatives, propositions and offerings and taking these out to clients

• Leveraging and developing your network of contacts and clients to develop opportunities for the firm to become their trusted advisor

• Ability to both ‘hands-on’ deliver and oversee engagements to meet deadlines and budgets

• Development and supporting the client-facing team
