THE COMPANY
The company is a highly successful fast expanding private investment firm investing across Europe, UK and USA via equity and debt structures in real estate and leisure businesses. They have over £4 billion assets under management. They have a new role offering career development and opportunity. Previous financial services experience is not necessary. They are not willing to sponsor ACCA OR CIMA but AAT.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Excellent attention to detail combined with good IT, organisational and time management skills.
  • Previous experience within Accounts Payable
  • Multi-currency experience, knowledge or understanding
  • Group environment experience where there are different entities or subsidiaries
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to adapt and create processes to improve efficiencies
  • Efficient, reliable and thorough
  • Good communication and inter-personal skills
  • Able to work efficiently and independently to tight deadlines.

THE ROLE
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes across the group and assist the finance team with the daily and weekly tasks with respect to cash management. Any previous bookkeeping experience would be beneficial. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Accurate processing and recording corporate and project purchase invoices
  • Preparing sales invoices
  • Preparing payment runs
  • Dealing with queries arising from invoices
  • Filing of all invoices/bank statements
  • Daily cash balance updates
  • Reconciling cash ledgers, expenses, finance reports
  • Basic ledger postings on accounting software (Peoplesoft / SAGE)
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Supplier statement reconciliations to ensure all invoices are captured
  • Assisting finance team with audit and other ad hoc queries
  • Shared ownership of payables mailbox where all invoices/queries/etc are received
