The Company
They are a young, dynamic film and TV financing company (part of a much larger group) whose focus is on providing funding for film and television productions from High Net worth individuals and institutional investments in addition to the parent company's major funding resources. The company also provides consultancy services to film and TV producers and fund managers in the entertainment sector. This position will be based in the North of England and will require travel to areas such as the major wealth centres in Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cheshire, Newcastle on Tyne and Scotland.

The Role
Reporting to the CEO and Head of Business Development, you would work with a small collegiate team where everyone helps support each other. You will have a motivated independent mindset as you will most likely working from your home base in North England. The role's main purposes are to promote and secure business and finance from Financial Advisors, wealth managers and other financial intermediaries for investments and financial products structured by the company. The firm has now established two new relationships with 2 major organisations which will provide a source of networked leads for development. You will also have the benefit of existing networks of IFAs, advisors and clients. Additionally, you will assist with marketing strategy, assist with the production of marketing materials and input into new product design and assist the Head of Business Development when required. Specifically, your role includes: Relationship Management: Manage and build on existing relationships and build up new relationships; provide regular updates as requested and working closely with all colleagues especially the other members of the BD team.

Arranging and Managing Meetings: Arrange your own meetings as required with key contacts, maintain relationships with phone calls in-between meetings; ensure that all materials for meetings are prepared in a timely manner; produce daily updates following appointments & ensure the company's customer relationship management system is up to date at all times with contact details, meetings and task lists where appropriate

Efficiency: Ensuring smooth running of your own business development operation by efficient time management, help ensure smooth running for the office.

Professionalism: To represent the company in a professional manner at all times To utilise one's technical & sales skills to the company's clients' mutual benefit.

Who they are looking for
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A strong and demonstrable interest in the film and TV industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to understand and promote / sell both simple and complex financial structures.
  • Ability to maintain and build relationships with HNW, family offices, financial advisors wealth managers, financial intermediaries and financial institutions
  • Strong time management skills, good team work skills and a positive enthusiastic attitude.

Candidates might have gained experience working in a business development role within the financial services industry, could be involved in the sale of financial products, or could be working within a firm of accountants and have strong financial or tax skills.
