Business Development / Head of Sales - Film & TV Financing
£60,000 - £80,000 + performance linked bonuses + benefits

THE COMPANY
They are a young, dynamic film and TV financing company (part of a much larger group) whose focus is on providing funding for film and television productions from HNWs, and institutional investors in addition to the parent company's major funding resources. The company also provides consultancy services to film and TV producers and fund managers in the entertainment sector.

THE ROLE
Reporting to the COO, you would join a small collegiate team where everyone helps support each other. The role's main purposes are to promote and secure business and finance from Financial Advisors, wealth managers and other financial intermediaries for investments and financial products structured by the company. At the moment the products are mainly EIS and SEIS funds but the company's portfolio will expand. Additionally, you will assist with marketing strategy, assist with the production of marketing materials and input into new product design and assist the Head of Business Development as required. Some travel will probably be required. Specifically, your role includes:

Relationship Management: Manage and build on existing relationships and build up new relationships; provide regular updates as requested and working closely with all colleagues especially the other members of the BD team.

Arranging and Managing Meetings: Arrange your own meetings as required with key contacts, maintain relationships with phone calls in-between meetings; ensure that all materials for meetings are prepared in a timely manner; produce daily updates following appointments & brief notes of telephone conversations where relevant, ensure customer relationship management system is up to date at all times with contact details, meetings and task lists where appropriate. Entertaining clients as required.

Management Accounts: Monthly reporting to the Board

Travel Arrangements: Responsibility for one's own travel requirements, once again other team members may assist, subject to availability

General Administration: Work with other members of the team, providing support where necessary. (As a small team they all help each other when required). Manage one's time efficiently, saving non essential paperwork to non productive periods. Ensure operation of equipment by organising preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, organising repairs, maintaining equipment inventories. Be a point of contact for any telephone enquiries for the rest of the members, ensuring all messages are forwarded and/or actioned quickly and efficiently. Maintain office supplies and equipment, anticipate needed supplies, place orders internally and externally as required.

Efficiency: Ensuring smooth running of your own and the London business development operation by efficient time management and help ensure smooth running for the office.

Professionalism: To represent the company in a professional manner at all times. To utilise one's technical & sales skills to the company's clients' mutual benefit.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A strong and demonstrable interest in the film and TV financing industry and demonstrable knowledge of EIS and SEIS products
  • Ability to maintain and build relationships with HNW, family offices, financial advisors wealth managers , financial intermediaries and financial institutions
  • Experience of sales team supervision and leadership
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to understand and promote/sell both simple and complex financial structures.
  • Strong time management skills, good team work skills and a positive enthusiastic attitude.
