SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Previous experience in either portfolio or client management with a retail slant is preferred but experience in institutional is also acceptable; and
  • Exceptionally strong communication skills, specifically the ability to simplify complex issues;
  • Excellent writing and strong presentation skills, experienced in preparing and making presentations are critical for this role as is presence, gravitas, the ability to influence;.
  • Strong technical knowledge of investment issues and processes; and
  • Experience / exposure to different asset classes particularly equities and thorough understanding of capital markets; and
  • Experience in asset allocation and portfolio construction
  • Understand drivers of risk and return
  • Experience in working with oversight bodies, clients and consultants
  • Capacity to travel
  • Investment/manager research; understanding investment strategies across multiple asset classes
  • Evidence of self-directed productivity management

THE ROLE
This role is an externally facing role mixing sales and ensuring existing clients are serviced as well as ensuring you can frame the value proposition internally via presentation. The objective of the role is to be the embodiment of the company's investment proposition and abilities, with sufficient abilities and experience to represent a broad set of products and services and be a point of escalation for go-to-market teams for significant sales and service challenges. Specific Responsibilities:

  • Directly represent investment product/process in sales opportunities as PM proxies
  • Participate in product positioning and messaging efforts as a principal author
  • "Keeper" of the sales and service story for ID insights and responsible for their inclusion in sales and servicing materials
  • RFP resource although Sign-off for RFP contributions, presentation materials, written documents, portfolio analysis with Head of CPM and/or Head of UK & ME GTM will be referred to others
  • Actively facilitate quarterly fund reviews with service teams
  • Escalation point for challenging investment conversations with clients
  • Serve as the principal ID contact for strategic products, GTM commercial requirements and creation of market support content with marketing
  • Providing advice and information to clients
  • Working across multiple revenue and cost centres
