Established and leading Investment Manager based in the City are looking to recruit an experience Corporate Actions professional into their Entitlements. You will be responsible for managing the full Corporate Actions lifecycle.

The Corporate Actions department is broken down into 2 key areas:

The Control area's primary function is the receipt and dissemination of all information pertaining to corporate Events and the timely and accurate broadcasting of such information to our clients. This data capture process is important as this data forms the basis of all subsequent processing pertaining to the event and therefore the information must be of the highest calibre.

The Processing area's responsibility is to ensure events created are processed in a timely manner in line with the underlying clients' instructions including timely processing of proceeds received and ensuring accuracy of stock records. The area processes around 12,000 issues per year.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

  • Production of departments various daily cash nominal and bank account control spreadsheets
  • Production of departments various daily stock reconciliation account control spreadsheets
  • Production of various weekly and monthly MIS, KRI and control spreadsheets
  • Control all client service queries passed to corporate actions
  • Production of departments weekly snapshot of remedy call outstanding items
  • Control all Unit Trust Resolution items passed to corporate actions
  • Daily update of stock reconciliation databases
  • Daily allocation of new cash and stock breaks
  • Daily email alert to brokers upon receipt of registrar adjustments
  • Control and clearance of nominee related corps account stock balances
  • Control of departmental safe to meet FSA regulatory requirements
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly compliance declarations
  • Monthly validation and publication of departments attendance records
  • Monthly calculation and publication of broker SLA and sundry fee figures
  • Conceive, specify, build, support and respond to adhoc requests for enhancement of departments access databases
  • Participate in and promote new controls and associated system developments
  • Support department with adhoc EUC processing requests
  • Respond positively to four managers strategic and tactical project/task requests whilst maintaining high standards on generic role deliverables
  • Any other duties as required


Technical Knowledge:

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel. Including expert formula knowledge and intermediate Visual Basic programming skills
  • In depth knowledge of Corporate Actions
  • In depth knowledge of cash double entry and stock booking concepts and associated reconciliation and control requirements
  • Good knowledge of Management Information Systems (MIS)
  • Excellent time management
  • Understanding of FSA/Regulatory requirements
