The Company
Over the last 25 years this Pan-European mid-market private equity house has invested approximately nearly £5 billion in a number of fast growth companies across a number of sectors. They currently have 5 funds. The work environment is very collegiate and team orientated, normal 8 hour working day (apart from the usual busy periods) and offer free lunches. They are now looking to cover the current Fund Accountant position within the Investment and Fund Administration team for a maternity leave.

The Role
The Investment & Fund Accounting team currently consists of four staff including a Partner and works closely with two other European off shore offices. Reporting to a Director, the Fund Accountant will be involved in the full spectrum of fund accounting responsibilities. The role is highly varied and includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Quarterly Investor Reporting Capital Accounts
  • Assisting with the formal quarterly investor reporting obligations; including quarterly valuation reports
  • Preparation of audited Limited Partnership Financial Statements across all active Mid-Cap funds
  • Key point of contact for Annual Audit process
  • US investor annual reporting (K1's / US GAAP)
  • Liaise closely with members of internal teams
  • Audit Confirmations from LP investors
  • Provide investment transaction support as required
  • Act as the link with Investor Relations team especially in times of fundraising and review of investor data requests

Who they are looking for
To be considered for this excellent role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a minimum 3 years' experience in an accountancy firm or in a financial accounting or fund accounting role;
  • Have a professional accountancy qualification or part-qualification is required together with a strong academic background;
  • Have Limited Partnership accounting experience;
  • Private Equity experience would be preferable but not a prerequisite;
  • A strong team player, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, positive and outgoing in nature;
  • Ability to deliver to tight deadlines and financially literate and analytical, and detail orientated.
