TECHNICAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

  • ACCA or ACA Qualified
  • Advanced knowledge of IFRS
  • Knowledge of US GAAP favourable but not essential
  • Group reporting experience
  • Investment Management experience favourable bit not essential
  • Proven experience of working with external auditors
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and able to communicate at all levels
  • Able to work under pressure to reach strict timelines
  • Able to work in a fast paced and changing environment

THE ROLE
Joining a team of over 50 in finance, the role sits within the External Reporting Team which accurately produces all external reports. The role holder will take responsibility for the review of balance sheet accounting, producing Audit Committee papers and assisting in the production of the Group's financial statements on forms 10-Q and 10-K , as well as managing and liaising with external auditors. The role will include:

  • Leading the analysis of all accounting issues under IFRS, identifying differences with US GAAP
  • Run and review the consolidation of both US GAAP and IFRS Groups
  • Responsible for the Group balance sheet under US GAAP.
  • Aid in the preparation and production of the 10Q and 10K under US GAAP
  • Manage and review the legal entities within the team and review subsidiary
  • financial statements
  • Prepare and assist in the preparation of technical accounting papers
  • Review of month end deliverables for the External Reporting team
  • Prepare and review the Group balance sheet and related commentary for the
  • management pack
  • Assisting the team when required in providing analysis and explanation to external auditors (when required) for the accounting treatments and implications of all ledger postings;
  • Management of the UK team
  • Provide detailed information and analysis to internal clients when required;
  • Ad-hoc projects
