Preparing of monthly management accounts for HQ and subsidiaries.
Prepayments and loans.
Fix assets control.
Preparing of supplier invoices, staff expense claims and bank payments.
Revenue recognition and booking.
Preparing monthly bank reconciliations.
Capital adequacy calculations.
Liaising regularly with the senior members of finance team and supporting with P&L
reporting, cash flow forecasting, budgets & intercompany account reconciliations.
Preparation of bank covenant calculations.
Assisting with addressing finance related queries raised by internal and external
Preparation of management reports for board meetings.
Liaising with internal and external auditors.
Ad-hoc requests & projects, proactive financial analysis of monthly financials.
Provide management reports (as needed).
Assist with preparation of statutory accounts.
Yearly update manuals and procedures.
Thorough knowledge of company and departmental policies and procedures.
Provide training to colleagues as needed.
Any other task assigned by FD or senior members of finance team.
EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or part qualified with management accounting
Strong mathematical ability associated with calculus and statistics.
Finance/accounting background: must have good knowledge of financial statements
(income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statements, etc.) and how they work.
Solid accounting, finance and bookkeeping knowledge.
Computer systems familiarity: must be comfortable working with our information
technology department and able to learn quickly about in-house software to assist in
new report generation and reconciliation of existing reports.
Advanced Excel experience: macros, Vlookup's, pivot tables, scenario manager.
Power point presentation.
Experience on working in MS Excel spreadsheet along with the use of statistical
software to analyze the financial reports.
SunSystems knowledge ideal.
Desirable experience of dealing with auditors and handling audit requirements.
Good academic record.
Knowledge in Accountancy and Finance.
Knowledge of Financial and Management Accounting.
Analytical: must be excellent problem solver; able to independently break complex
problems down into manageable sequence of steps.
Detail oriented: will have to have a respect for the details.
Accuracy: must maintain highest quality standards, as senior management will be
relying on output from this position.
