They are a fast paced and fast growing private equity based independent financial media group with a portfolio of global digital publications, global conferences, and a network of specialist websites, dedicated to Investment Markets.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

To be considered for this role -

  • At least 2 years working within a Media or Publishing environment or a private Equity environment or backed business;
  • A qualified accountant with a proven background in a similar Management Accountants position;
  • Experience having direct reports and managing a team as well as training, developing and coaching direct reports;
  • Experience with multi-currency and worked with a company with International subsidiaries;
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate critical thinking and a problem-solving attitude solutions;
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities;
  • Highly driven individual with a demonstrated can-do attitude and hands-on approach;
  • High IT literacy including experience of Navision and / or Jet reporting;

THE ROLE

They are currently looking to recruit an experienced management accountant who will have four direct reports. You will feel comfortable taking full responsibility for the preparation of Management Accounts for the UK, supported by one team member; consolidated finance pack supported by two team members who currently look after the US and Hong Kong. In this role, you will assist Senior Management in making critical business decisions by analysing and presenting key financial data. The role is extremely varied, no two days will be the same, and responsibilities will cover a number of entities and areas. Responsibilities include:

  • Updating and maintaining daily transaction reports i.e. bank statements, customer receipts, supplier payments, payroll, credit card transactions etc
  • Posting of all journals i.e. accruals and prepayments, stock and cost of sales etc;
  • Lead and prepare monthly finance;
  • Lead and prepare Flash Report;
  • Responsible for the management accounts;
  • Responsible for submissions for the leadership team meetings;
  • Present management accounts on a monthly basis to the departmental heads;
  • Implement efficiencies, changes and automation of process where possible;
  • Liaise with external auditors at year end;
  • Support FP&A during budget and forecasting cycles;
  • Complete VAT returns for UK and EuropeBalance sheet reconciliations;
  • Calculating and processing management recharge;
  • Managing various stakeholders throughout the business;
  • Managing outsourced providers.
