Private Equity Assistant Accountant
£25,000 - £30,000 + Study Support

The Company

The company was founded out of the recession and since then has enjoyed continued year on year growth having become a fast growing niche player in the secondary private equity market. It is an independent provider of preferred equity financing for owners, managers and buyers of private equity portfolios. They have launched 3 funds in 4 years with plans for a fourth in the making and they currently have well over £750 million under management. Investment is continuing to pour in and they are looking for a; hungry, driven individual to come and join their meteoric growth. They are in the market for a recent graduate with a 1st or 2:1 from a top 20 university wanting that first step towards a fantastic career in the business.

The Role
In addition to undertaking the production of accounts you will be expected to ensure the efficiency of the Company is maintained and oversee and review the work produced by the administrators and trainee accountants as well as assisting training and supporting junior staff. Your role will include the following:

  • Maintaining multicurrency banking records
  • Supervising purchase ledger operations
  • Raising invoices
  • Assisting in running management company financial ledgers, including journal entries, multicurrency ledgers and group structure, and intercompany charges
  • Preparation of periodic cash flow forecasts
  • Assist in implementation of new systems and processes to improve efficiency
  • Assisting in preparation of quarterly and annual fund financial statements

Who they are looking for
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Be a recent gradu8ate with a strong educational background (ideally a 1st from a top university)
  • 6 months accounting experience
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of accounting, private equity administration or fund administration within private equity
  • Strong communication skills
