Private Equity - Senior Fund Accountant
£50,000 - £70,000 + discretionary bonus, non-contributory pension and health insurance

The Company
They are global private equity investment firm that advises funds with a total committed capital of approximately €25 billion. They employ over 200 people including 120 investment professionals in 14 offices across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia They invest across five key sectors: Consumer, Financial Services, Healthcare, Industrials and Technology.

The Role
Having recently been through successful fund raising, they are expanding there London fund finance team. This is a unique opportunity to build on your experience in fund accounting and financial control and join a long standing team within a well-established, global private equity brand name. The role includes the following:
- Fund Accounting and control: Monitoring and review of the fund accounting process, and through working in partnership with the fund administrator produce accurate and timely information, in particular focusing on:

  • fund accounts & investor reporting;
  • monitor and review fund transactions including:
  • capital call and distribution calculations and notices;
  • review management fee, performance fee and carry calculations;
  • management of receivables and payables for funds entities;
  • calculate fund IRR / returns;
  • assist in coordination of the portfolio valuation process
  • assist with forecasting of liquidity requirements for fund entities;
  • ensure investor reporting and financial dissemination of data complies with fund limited partnership agreements;
  • work with tax advisers and fund administrators to ensure accurate and timely tax information is produced for investors, including US K1 and PFIC tax information;

- Assisting with responses to investor queries;
- Maintain relationships with outsourced administrator, independent auditors, external advisors and Investment teams;
- Additional ad hoc projects including provisions of data for investor surveys and marketing and assisting investor relations

Who They Are Looking For
To be considered for this excellent role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Qualified accountant with strong technical skills and understanding of complex fund structures;
  • 1 years plus of private equity, hedge fund, infrastructure or real estate related finance and fund accounting experience, or audit of large complex alternative asset fund structures is a significant advantage;
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP or US GAAP/IFRS;
  • Strong Excel skills;
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, can-do attitude;
  • A self-starter with an inquisitive and ambitious mind set.
