Projects Manager
£75,000 + bonus + benefits

THE COMPANY
They are a global brokerage offering their clients access to a wide range of financial products and instruments trading across the globe. In certain products they are ranked amongst the world leaders in terms of trading volumes.

THE ROLE
Reporting the Chief Operating Officer, you will be required to manage projects of a varied nature (ie front, middle, back office, risk and technology related). The role will involve managing a number of simultaneous projects through their entire lifecycle. Including analysing requirements, defining plans, ensuring information flows between stakeholders, monitoring project metric, prioritised issues and ensuring effective resolution & produce an adequate level of documentation. Your responsibilities include the following:

  • Liaising with the appropriate departments to discover & document project requirements
  • Determine resources (time, money, equipment) required
  • Execute the project as per the project plan, manage risks and documentation & communication
  • Ensure suitable handover to the respective support departments

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
To be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria:

  • Formal project management training / qualifications such as Prince 2
  • Good business knowledge of products, markets & operational processes (In particular Derivatives & FX)
  • Good IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Access
  • The ability to work extremely accurately, thoroughly, reliably and with attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills and the ability to work through issues in a structured and methodical manner
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience of other asset classes such as Cash Equities, CFD's or business areas such as Risk/Credit or compliance
  • Understanding of Accounting, P&L and procedures.
