The Company

A foreign owned International Bank with offices in the City of London. This is an organisation which is growing organically as opposed to through M&A. An open and collegiate culture my client is a truly meritocratic culture. Facilitates multi - jurisdictional transactions and is expanding in EMEA.

The Role

Working hand in hand with the Head of Compliance to ensure my client is fully up to date with current and future regulatory developments. Ensuring that compliance risks are mitigated through pro-active management of compliance exposure.

- Develop and implement a risk based compliance program

- Monitor and report compliance risk on a day to day basis

- Escalate any compliance breaches to the Head of Compliance

- Maintaining and monitoring compliance including but not limited to restricted investment registers conflicts and gifts

- Provide up to date advice to the business of regulatory developments

- Training of staff to ensure they are fully compliant

- Keeping abreast of regulatory developments

The successful candidate must have:

- At least three years regulatory experience in Financial Services

- Preferably currently working for a larger organisation

- Excellent written and verbal English

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

- Confident to present to individuals across levels of seniority

- A pro-active team player who is able to work independently

- Preferably degree educated with a relevant Compliance qualification

- Strong understanding of the regulatory environment within Financial Services
