SENIOR FUND ACCOUNTANT - (3 month contract)

London, Canary Wharf

£300 - £375 per day

An exciting opportunity has come up within one of the worlds leading investment managers based in Canary Wharf. This opportunity is offered on a contractual basis for a period of 6 months and may have the potential for extension. The role includes reviewing accounts in SORP format for Regulated OEICS and Unit Trusts, preparation of corporation and income tax and reconciliations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review accounts in SORP format for Regulated OEICS and Unit Trusts
  • Prepare and review estimated and confirmed distribution rates
  • Preparation of corporation and income tax for the submission to HMRC
  • Reconciliations of expensises, interest and dividends and monthly reconciliation packs
  • Preparations and review of monthly Trustee reconciliations
  • Provision of liaison with point with auditors, trustees and clients
  • Develop excellent working relationships both with clients and colleagues
  • Ad hoc requirements

Who they are looking for:

The successful candidate must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Fully qualified accountant - ACCA/CIMA/ACA
  • 2 - 3 years previous experience of Financial Reporting for Unit Trusts, OEIC's or other collective investment schemes
  • Previous experience within financial services
  • The ability to use initiative with a 'self starter' attitude

The successful candidate must obtain all of the above and also be able to take ownership and use their initiative. In addition they much be able to ensure all data is accurate and of a good quality to generate a sense of trust with colleagues and clients.
