Junior Company Secretary Location : St Helier, Jersey (Hybrid working model) T0 £55,000 plus bonus, benefits and full study support.
The opportunity An international financial services group is looking for a motivated Junior Company Secretary to join its in-house company secretarial and governance team in St Helier, Jersey. The role suits someone progressing their career towards Chartered Secretary / Chartered Governance Professional or STEP, with proven experience in a professional or financial services environment.
Key responsibilities
Support board and committee meetings across multiple group entities, including preparing agendas, collating papers and drafting minutes.
Maintain statutory records and entity data, ensuring accurate filings and good standing with relevant registries and regulators.
Assist with annual returns, corporate approvals and governance reporting for companies in several jurisdictions.
Liaise with internal stakeholders, advisors and service providers to coordinate company secretarial and governance matters.
Contribute to continuous improvement of governance processes, templates and controls as the group grows.
Skills and experience
Around 3+ years’ company secretarial, governance or funds/corporate administration experience in a professional or financial services setting.
Working towards, or keen to start, ICSA Chartered Governance qualification or STEP (or equivalent), with strong interest in governance and regulation.
Solid understanding of statutory requirements, corporate governance principles and Jersey / UK-style regulatory environments.
Strong attention to detail, well-organised and confident managing multiple entities and deadlines.
Clear and professional communication skills, able to work closely with senior stakeholders.
