Procurement Specialist South Region Local Authority
Cameron Kennedy has partnered with a local authority in the south who are looking for a Procurement Specialist. This role offers an initial duration of 9 to 12 month.
Job Description: We are looking for a Procurement Specialist with extensive experience in public sector procurement regulations. You will be responsible for managing the complete end-to-end procurement cycle, from Project Initiation through to Contract Award. Specifically, we need someone skilled in managing external procurement consultants and experts for developing the procurement strategy.
Key Responsibilities: • Lead the end-to-end procurement process for multi-million-pound projects, preferably in construction, marine, or infrastructure sectors. • Engage and liaise with stakeholders throughout the procurement cycle. • Manage projects and inform Options Appraisals. • Utilize e-tendering software such as pro-contract for efficient procurement. • Ensure full compliance with the Council’s Contract Standing Orders and UK legislative requirements. • Deliver best value through procurement activities.
Experience Required: • MCIPS Qualified. • Extensive experience in using e-tendering software throughout the procurement process. • Expert knowledge of Public Contract Regulations 2015 (PCR). • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and associated apps, with specific expertise in Excel.
