Immediate Opportunity: Senior Regulatory Reporting Manager Central London
£450 - 600 per day (inside IR35)
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Regulatory Reporting Manager to join our Financial Control Department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of the Bank’s prudential and financial regulatory reporting. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, maintaining a robust regulatory policy framework and driving the implementation of an automated regulatory reporting platform. Responsibilities Regulatory Return Preparation & Submission
Take full ownership of preparing and submitting regulatory reports/returns across all relevant regimes.
Extract, analyze, and interpret complex data from core banking and derivative platforms, ensuring accurate regulatory classification of products.
Ensure alignment with UK GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Reconcile key control totals to the General Ledger and provide variance commentary for significant movements.
Manage system parameters for seamless data uploads into FCA/PRA RegData and other platforms.
Act as the primary liaison for technical queries from external regulatory bodies.
Daily Monitoring & Senior Management Advisory
Monitor key regulatory metrics, including Capital Adequacy, Liquidity Coverage Ratios (LCR), and Net Stable Funding Ratios (NSFR).
Provide critical compliance and risk reporting to Treasury and Senior Management.
Collaborate with Business Heads to assess regulatory impacts of balance sheet movements.
Data Governance, Controls, & System Architecture
Maintain strict quality control and data lineage over reporting bases.
Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of the Bank’s new regulatory reporting solution.
Ensure a robust audit trail for all manual adjustments and system enhancements.
Strategic Project Delivery
Lead regulatory reporting workstreams for key projects, including:
Basel 3.1 / Basel IV Implementation
Automated Regulatory Reporting (ARR) system transition
Loans and Collateral (L&C) system enhancements
Regulatory adjustments for specialized product streams
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of banking experience with strong knowledge of commercial banking and treasury products.
In-depth understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, and IFRS 9.
Extensive knowledge of Basel/CRD IV rules and CRR2 implementation protocols.
Familiarity with Basel 3.1 regulations and credit institution reporting requirements.
Advanced proficiency in industry-specific bank reporting software and Microsoft Excel.
Graduate qualifications and/or recognized accounting/banking qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ACIB) are essential. Qualification by experience will also be considered.
