Business Development Manager Regional role: Wales, Midlands, East of England & South West
We are partnering with a highly regarded discretionary fund manager that specialises in evidence-based, passive investment portfolios for financial advisers. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to build, develop, and maintain strong intermediary relationships across Wales, the Midlands, the East of England, and the South West.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded, relationship-led BDM with a proven track record of winning and retaining business within the adviser market. The opportunity You will take ownership of a regional patch and focus on growing relationships with financial advisers, introducers, and intermediary partners. Working closely with internal colleagues across investments, marketing, and client service, you will help drive new business, strengthen existing relationships, and support the continued growth of assets under management.
What you’ll be doing
Building and maintaining strong relationships with financial advisers and intermediary partners.
Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
Identifying and converting new business opportunities across your region.
Managing a pipeline of prospects and existing relationships to support growth and retention.
Leading meetings and presentations, both face to face / virtually. or over the phone
Working collaboratively with internal teams to support client outcomes and business objectives.
Staying informed on market developments, competitor activity, and regulatory change.
Representing the business at events, seminars, and networking opportunities where appropriate.
What we’re looking for
Proven experience in business development within financial services.
A strong network of intermediary and adviser relationships, ideally across the target regions.
Previous experience in a DFM, asset manager, MPS, platform, or IFA environment.
Confidence in building rapport, influencing stakeholders, and closing business.
A solid understanding of investment solutions and the adviser market.
Strong communication, organisation, and strategic thinking skills.
Ideally Level 4 qualified via CII / PFS, or working towards it.
Accessibility to Wales, the Midlands, the East of England, and the South West for travel purposes.
Package
Basic salary up to £80,000 (Higher base available for candidates with an established network and strong track record of achievement)
