THE COMPANY

We are pleased to be partnering with a fast growing, well-funded and institutional backed transport equipment company operating throughout Europe and also in the USA. The business leases equipment to transport companies throughout Europe and in the USA thus ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the transport infrastructure

THE ROLE

You would be working on the Unified Framework which is a strategic project setting up the long-term strategy for the business. Your work will involve a lot of scenario modelling and providing some ad-hoc help to the FP&A team. You will spend 100% of your time with financial models. The strategic project will include amongst other things modelling of various scenarios analysis, various lengths of leases with various revenue streams, modelling of BGP and in Euro revenues and quantifying in present value terms , modelling of capex scenarios, running debt scenarios e.g. optimising the amortisation of funding. You will be quantifying the value that maintenance and financing brings to the business. You will also be tasked to produce some graphs. Additionally, the models will help provide a valuation for the business at various stages of its development according to the various scenarios. The corporate projection model ensures that it reflects the current and future status of the portfolio of investments, leases and future growth opportunities to ensure the accurate valuation of the company as well as aids strategic decision-making.

The role requires a lot of data management so you will be used to working with large datasets. The model is large. There are 1800 assets which are leased out at various stages of length.

In addition you may be required to get involved in various areas of the FP&A departments responsibilities assisting the FP&A Manager and the Pricing Manager.

The project is working to tight deadlines and the deadlines must be hit.

Experience and Skills Required

  • You should have 5 - 10years experience
  • Outstanding modelling skills are essential and be able to hit the ground running
  • A background in finance would be very useful and understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience of large data sets is essential
  • Experience of modelling different and complex scenarios.
  • Highly comfortable with spending 100% of your time with financial models
  • Knowledge of BI360 software desirable
  • An eye for detail, accuracy and able to work under pressure to tight project deadlines
