The Role

Reporting to the Manager of Direct Business, you will be part of a team providing a professional, effective, efficient Annuity Business Writing service to clients. The service will operate on a highly structured basis with clear policy, procedures and workflow, to a focused scope in a regulated environment. Responsibilities and accountabilities include:

  • Achieve qualitative and quantitative performance, productivity, activity and conversion levels necessary to deliver the target levels agreed with Manager - Direct.
  • Provide telephone based service / support to clients.
  • Contact referred clients within agreed Service Agreement Levels to arrange telephony appointments where a service commitment has been made by the firm.
  • Undertake telephone reviews with client to establish continued suitability of their investments.
  • Appropriately and compliantly identify when a client requires Restricted firm Advice or Face to Face advice with a Wealth Adviser.
  • Prepare, check and issue accurate and compliant communications and suitability reports to clients in a timely manner to support advice.
  • Co-ordinate the provision of packs, quotes and applications for implementation of solutions in conjunction with Client Support.
  • Ensure that the database and client electronic records are complete and remain up to date
  • To own the outcome of client cases to completion.
  • Take ownership where issues arise to ensure successful resolution to deliver client satisfaction, whilst following all complaint procedures and compliance policies.
  • Follow compliance procedures and apply the prescribed advice processes.
  • Uphold individual responsibilities associated with Treating Client's Fairly, Data Protection and Anti Money Laundering.
  • Support line management of the Direct Advice Team with the delivery of timely and accurate management information.
  • Constantly monitor business activity in order to meet agreed targets/deadlines.
  • Ensure completion of all relevant Continued Professional Development, including attendance of training to develop knowledge and skills in order to provide technical support to clients and colleagues.
  • Keep up to date with best practice, industry, taxation and regulatory change.

Who they are looking for

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Possess a Diploma Qualified, Ideally with current Statement of Professional Standing.
  • Strong knowledge of investments, protection and retirement planning including strong experience and understanding of annuities.
  • Ability to identify and manage opportunities through an understanding of products, funds, markets and relevant financial instruments.
  • Experience in a telephone based advice role working within the Financial Service sector.
  • Proficient in technology and web based applications and or programs.
  • Ability to work to compliant advice procedures.
  • Ability to produce industry compliant client communications.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
