Excellent opportunity to work in a niche team within a leading Hedge Fund.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Experience in a financial services environment, ideally Hedge Fund, Investment Management, Family Office
  • There is flexibility on product background. You should ideally understand ETD, corporate bonds and/or Loans.
  • Previously worked with most control functions (reconciliations, settlements, valuations, corporate actions, etc)

THE ROLE

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operational support for Equity, Fixed Income, OTC, Loans, private equity, FX & listed products (A number of middle office functions are outsourced, and we predominantly look at trade related exceptions)
  • Trade support i.e ensuring trades are booked accurately (strategies / financing agreements / correct clearing account / commissions & fees).
  • Monitoring and processing corporate actions / expiries (being event driven there are frequent tenders, rights issues, proxy vote).
  • Perform daily cash and stock reconciliations to identify and rectify any breaks.
  • Undertake SWAP resets across multiple accounts on a monthly basis, reconciling all cashflows.
  • Perform month end duties to support the sign off of the NAV, reconciling PnL, gathering and checking pricing, reviewing accruals (dividends/interest).
  • Instruct invoice payments and apply to appropriate accruals within the portfolio management system.
  • Interaction with Fund Administrators, outsourced middle office and Risk Manager: point of contact to discuss issues such as settlement, flows, cash breaks, NAV approval and risk reporting
  • Other ad hoc duties: expense budgeting, regulatory reporting, vendor relationship management,

  • Communication skills: You must be a confident communicator, being able to communicate frequently and clearly with those around you. In a small team is it vital there is open dialogue to best support individuals as well as share knowledge and solve problems.
