HR Assistant

£35,000 - £45,000 + benefits + CIPD sponsorship

London - City (hybrid working model)

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • A minimum of 6 - 12 months in an HR assistant role.
  • A team player with a positive 'can do' attitude. Willingness to learn and develop.
  • Able to work on administrative matters in a hands-on fashion often with manual systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to adapt very quickly and handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Have a high level of attention to detail.
  • Understand the importance of absolute confidentiality and discretion.
  • Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, & Outlook.


THE ROLE

This is a hands-on role in a small HR department and reports to the HR Manager. There is also a fair amount of manual systems.

  • Monitor HR incoming calls, Mail and email inbox - answering queries, taking action or forward as necessary.
  • Maintaining HR systems on a daily basis e.g. private healthcare, gym membership etc.
  • Input new joiners and process leavers, changes in contractual details, check absence records.
  • Maintaining HR records, both paper and electronic, securely and confidentially
  • Preparation of letters and associated documentation i.e. induction packs, contracts, acceptance of resignation etc.
  • Apply for Candidate checks; References, DBS Certificates, ID, Visa checks.
  • Follow internal documentation procedures in relation to: salary increase, department transfer, probation forms and follow them through to completion.
  • Manage booking training courses, and provide support as necessary.
  • Reply to speculative employment enquiries via email and post.
  • Administer the annual appraisal process.
