The Company A dynamic start-up company supplying bio-technology blends used in agriculture. Essentially the business is a manufacturing company. Products are currently manufactured in Europe and Asia, and are sold in a number of global markets including the EU and North America. The company is excellently positioned to make a positive impact in the world of agriculture and possibly will seek an IPO in 2022. As such this is a key role for the business.  You will participate in a critical function at a time when the company is experiencing significant global growth. There is a posibility that the role could go permananet after 6 months.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Essential: Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 8-10 years post qualification
  • Degree in a related discipline, Accounting or Business Management would be beneficial
  • Essential: Proficient in Xero, and Excel as well as other typical Microsoft applications,
  • Experience in handling foreign exchange transactions and working with international operations
  • Strong communicator, able to ensure that all parties have the information they need in a timely fashion, and are up to date on financial related
  • Self-starter, motivated to help create an great company culture, and most definitely someone who can create their own momentum, as well as inspire it from
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

 

THE ROLE

As the Financial Controller you will report directly to the CEO. The company are looking for an exceptional individual who will take personal accountability for the role working in a fast paced environment and who aspires to be a Financial Director. You will be mission driven, as well as an exceptional performer, able to keep up with the demands of the business and a diverse customer base, and will also have a role on the company's management team. Managing a junior accountant. Main Responsibilities:

  • Producing monthly management accounts and other financial information for the Board and external Shareholders
  • Ownership of the accounting role and function
  • Creating forecasts and budgets for the business in monthly and annual cycles respectively
  • Enhance company's current production cost accounting systems, and develop metrics and methods to support fast
  • Managing the monthly payroll for most company entities
  • Consolidation and financial oversight of multiple entities (UK/Vietnam/Ireland/USA)
  • Financial planning and analysis, and adept at management as well as statutory accounting
  • Preparation of annual and other statutory accounts and filings across multiple entities
  • HMRC reporting - monitor and file VAT, PAYE and other returns
  • Oversee Audits and work with auditors throughout the annual cycle, maintaining relationships
  • Management of inter company loans and foreign exchange
  • Reconciliation of Bank and credit card transactions, including expense reporting and payments
  • Operate the day to day invoicing and payment functions through our online banking systems
  • Manage bank relationships and related KYC
  • Interface with company agents and distributors, overseeing processes including commissions and
  • Producing reports and communications for our investor group as needed for AGMs and other points of
  • Assist in business funding activities, working with external providers, and potentially sourcing new opportunities as
  • Occasional travel to company offices located globally
