The Company
They are a medium sized growing investment bank with over 100 employees They now have a key high profile within their finance function for a motivated person who is able to work as part of a team but also to work independently.

The Role
This is a new "hands on" role within a small finance department of 7 and reports to the Head of Finance. The department is responsible for all aspects of Financial Control, Monthly Reporting and Regulatory Reporting. You will need to be a good communicator as you will need to speak to Heads of Departments and the business as well being able to explain processes and enhancements. During the first 6 months the role will be heavily orientated to projects and systems implementation. The role includes the following:

  • Help to shape the governance of liquidity risk
  • Become the expert on liquidity related matters within the firm
  • Development and enhancement of existing stress and scenario testing
  • Design and implementation of systematic monitoring of liquidity risks and stress tests
  • Review of underlying data quality/requirements in relation to the system implementation
  • Dealing with ad hoc queries and project related work
  • Daily monitoring of funding sources and uses
  • Reconciliation and control of real-time funding monitor
  • Monthly IRR liquidity preparation (FSA 047-054)

Who they are looking for
This is an excellent role for someone who is looking for a role which they can make there own and who wishes to join a small team and make an impact. To be considered for this role you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA with good academics;
  • Previous regulatory reporting experience or knowledge;
  • Financial services background essential, preferably in a broker/dealer environment;
  • Motivated/entrepreneurial nature with excellent and demonstrable analytical and numerical skills;
  • Adaptable to different tasks and projects and will take ownership of daily/monthly tasks;
  • Strong communication skills and a team player but has the ability to work independently;
