Regulatory Reporting Accountant - 12 month Fixed Term Contract £60,000-£70,000 + Benefits London - Hybrid Working

I am working with a great organisation who are a rapidly growing UK-based financial institution. Committed to innovation, transparency, and customer-centricity, they're currently seeking a talented Regulatory Reporting Accountant to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with UK regulatory requirements. As a Regulatory Reporting Accountant you will be responsible for managing and executing regulatory reporting obligations in line with UK regulatory standards. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you'll gather, analyse, and report financial data accurately and efficiently to regulatory authorities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports to relevant UK authorities, including the Bank of England (BoE), Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and reconciliation of financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Stay informed about changes in UK regulatory reporting requirements and update internal policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Risk Management, and Compliance, to address regulatory inquiries and requests.
  • Assist in regulatory examinations and audits by providing documentation and explanations as required.
  • Participate in projects aimed at enhancing regulatory reporting processes, system implementations, and overall compliance efficiency.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in regulatory reporting within the UK banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of UK regulatory frameworks, including CRD IV, COREP, FINREP, and other relevant regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to various stakeholders.
  • Proactive approach to learning and professional development.
