The Company

I am representing a fantastic Accountancy Practice in Hertfordshire who are seeking a Senior Audit Manager to join them on a permanent basis. The company are a dynamic organisation who are growing at a rapid rate and are placed within the Top 30 of Accountancy firms in the UK. The Role

  • Lead and manage the audit department, including recruitment, training, and performance management of audit staff.
  • Develop and implement audit plans and strategies in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct complex audits of financial statements, internal controls, and operational processes for various clients across different industries.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to audit teams, ensuring thorough understanding of client businesses and risks.
  • Review audit workpapers, findings, and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to professional standards.
  • Communicate audit results and recommendations effectively to clients, management, and stakeholders.
  • Foster strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and addressing client concerns and inquiries promptly.
  • Stay abreast of changes in auditing standards, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure compliance and continuous improvement within the audit department

Skills Required

  • Experience in management of external audits
  • Someone who holds RI status or has aspirations to complete it
  • ACA or ACCA Qualification
  • Strong understanding of FRS 102
  • Previous Audit Management experience obtained in an accountancy practice
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify areas of risk or improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of effectively managing teams, projects, and deadlines.
