THE COMPANY
The Company administer over £40 billion of assets for a range of institutions across 10 jurisdictions including the UK. They provide high quality support services to both start-ups, new and larger and longer established fund structures

THE ROLE
The role involves the provision of fund accounting and administration support to London listed investment trusts/investment companies and other corporate entities. This is a full time position within a small team and there will be a large element of direct client contact. You will report and be accountable to the Finance Manager and ultimately the Managing Director. You must be able to prepare management accounts and the financial aspects of Statutory Accounts under minimal supervision. Reasonable study support for relevant professional qualifications will be provided. The role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Net asset value preparation and oversight of outsourced activities;
  • Preparation of management accounts;
  • Liaison with clients and other service providers as required to ensure a high quality delivery of service to clients;
  • Preparation of Annual and Half yearly Reports in accordance with IFRS/FRS102 (UK GAAP)/AIC SORP and other regulatory bodies;
  • Co-ordinating the audit process of annual audits / half yearly reviews for client Funds and management companies;
  • Establishment and maintenance of due diligence and KYC records;
  • Processing clients payments and record keeping;
  • Providing support to the company secretarial team with financial and other information for Board papers including but not limited to budgeting and income forecasting;
  • Other administrative duties as required.

THE CANDIDATE
To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Newly qualified (ACCA or ICAEW) or equivalent or at advanced stages of qualification
  • A minimum of 2 years fund accounting experience, with experience of London Stock Exchange listed funds or open ended funds
  • Good understanding of the accounting and administration of listed funds or Open Ended Funds and other corporate entities
  • Knowledge of IFRS and/or FRS 102 (UK GAAP) relevant to investments trusts and AIC SORP

Special Skills Required:

  • Some experience gained within an accounting and audit practice would be advantageous
  • Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative
  • Good organisational skills
