THE COMPANY
They are a fast expanding, ambitious leading quoted business services and consultancy firm serving the financial services and investment industry operating in UK, Europe and the USA providing a range of business support, consultancy and advisory services.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
To be considered for this role you should meet the following criteria:
* A professionally qualified accountant (ideally ACA) with a minimum of 10 to 15 years PQE. Previous experience in global entities with complex consolidations ESSENTIAL.
* Exposure to working in a listed environment and with regulated entities. IFRS is essential.
* Supervisory experience essential - must be able to lead and command the respect of the Finance team (5 direct reports)
* Strong team leader; energetic and enthusiastic
* Experience in consolidations. M&A integration and international exposure
* Highly PC literate with strong systems skills - Workday environment experience useful
* Previous experience in a CFO/FD role would be an advantage
* Commercial aptitude
* Demonstrable process efficiency orientation
* Excellent analytical and financial skills with keen attention to detail
* Positive and flexible approach, able to work well under pressure, prioritise work effectively and meet strict deadlines
* First-class written and verbal communication skills; be able to communicate effectively with directors, partners, lawyers, support staff, suppliers and other third parties
* Confident manner and personal impact to command the respect of senior management

THE ROLE
* Responsibility for all finance functions of the Group of 50+ legal entities across 10+ countries including various regulated entities. This includes billing, revenue recognition, collections, accounts payable, treasury, cashflow management, management reporting, covenants reporting, year-end Annual Report & Accounts, half-year public market reporting, acquisitions, implementations, corporate structure maintenance, Audit & Risk Committee reporting, annual audit and account filing for the group and subsidiaries, regulatory compliance reporting and audits, insurance, tax, FP&A, KPIs, Share-based payments, financial system maintenance, implementation and improvements.
* Responsible for the management of 5 direct reports but ultimately a team of 20 who are a mix of qualified, part qualified and unqualified across various countries but most London based.
* Maintaining, enhancing and documenting first-class processes, procedures, systems and controls with the intention for a controls reliance audit approach from 1 July 2022. Group uses Workday and Salesforce for accounting and reporting.
* Meet all internal and external reporting deadlines including accounts, tax and regulatory filings as well as monthly management and covenants reporting.
* Working with the Group CFO to develop and deliver a comprehensive programme of focussed analysis of business performance and profitability reporting for each division and for all managers, at client and work type level, with analysis and commentary utilising system automation where possible.
* Liaison with internal employees from junior members of the company, across all business units and group service divisions to senior staff up to the external group board as well as external agencies e.g. HMRC, banks, suppliers, auditors, payroll providers
* Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team
* Involvement in ad-hoc projects and cross-training with the CFO, financial controllers and key team members of the Finance team to ensure cover is available and Finance internal and external deadlines are met.
