Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent business finance support to Operations and Corporate functions:
    • Prioritise activities to ensure business finance deliverables are met to a high standard
    • Communicate efficiently with senior management up to ExCo level
    • Trouble shoot issues and work to resolution

  • Support the Operations and Corporate teams with:
    • Regular reporting:
      • Expense reporting
      • Transaction analysis and investigation
      • Project and initiative process and reporting
    • Provide finance support to business led projects
    • Budgeting and forecasting:
      • Own process to load and review forecast and budget information
      • Actively input into driving process efficiency
    • Ad hoc analysis:
      • As required to support business partners.
    • Finance Platform:
      • Participate in projects to enhance or improve the use of the finance platform

Key Team Deliverables

  • Ensure budgets and forecasts agreed by the Executive Committee are managed appropriately, flagging risks where necessary
  • Enable functional heads to manage the resources of their global teams
  • Provide independent advice and support to the business as well as challenging where appropriate
  • Production and tracking of accurate and efficient budgets and forecasts
  • Ensure the FP&A team has appropriate commentary and support to report monthly results and changes in forecasts to the Executive Committee
  • Ensure business functions have sufficient finance representation and support for projects, initiatives and supplier or client commercial arrangements
  • Preparation of ad-hoc analysis as required by management

Technical Skills and Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Significant previous experience working in an FP&A or business finance role.
  • Experience of working in investment management essential.
  • Understanding of the Operations function highly desirable
  • Ability to analyse data and provide relevant financial insight
  • Excellent excel skills
