SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Qualified Accountant with relevant PQE, either from an accountancy practice or in industry.
  • Strong academic background
  • Good knowledge of accounting and regulatory standards with strong reporting knowledge with a focus on UK IFRS and FRS101 statutory financial statements
  • Understanding of financial statements and corporate accounting including reconciliation of financial statements
  • Exposure to a complex group structure and multi country environment.
  • Excel experience
  • Ability to be objectively review and challenge.
  • Takes pride in their work delivering accurately to deadlines.
  • Ability to analyse data and provide relevant financial insight.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

This is a key role in the External & Regulatory reporting team which is responsible for ensuring all external statutory reporting is produced accurately and in a timely manner for the UK and Europe. A significant part of the role will be as a legal entity controller responsible for a number of holding companies and subsidiaries within the group.

  • Legal entity controller for a range of UK and European entities.
  • Preparing and managing the balance sheet reconciliation process for designated entities including collation of issues for review.
  • Preparation of the Income statement and balance sheet analytics and related commentary.
  • Preparation of financial statements under FRS101 and FRS102.
  • UK regulatory group consolidation and reporting on the results and performance on a monthly and quarterly basis, including variance analysis.
  • Responsible for accounting for Pensions, Leases, and Intangible assets under both IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Provision of information for inclusion in Group's annual and quarterly accounts.
  • Provide detailed information and analysis to internal clients and other external reporting.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
